Dr. Malotky studied at Gonzaga University, earned his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and completed a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Then he came back to the community in Northern California he once called home, and founded Summit Plastic Surgery in 2017.
As your breast reduction surgeon, he plans your surgery with you and performs it himself. He also does breast reconstruction after cancer.

A reduction lifts as it goes, while a breast lift alone won’t make you smaller. If one breast is much larger, it can be reduced closer to the other’s size. Dr. Malotky helps you decide which you need from your size, shape, and skin.

The scars don’t go away, but in most cases they fade a great deal. They stay red or pink for many months and keep healing for at least a year.
Breast reduction incision types follow your size and shape: around the areola only, for a small reduction; around the areola and down to the crease, called a lollipop or keyhole; or that plus a line along the crease, called an anchor, for larger reductions, which leaves the most scarring. Most sits where a bra or swimsuit covers it, though some can show on the breast.
Keloids, raised scars that grow past the wound, can happen to anyone. Black women have the greatest risk, and women of Asian, Latin American, or Mediterranean descent a higher one than lighter-skinned women. A blood relative with keloids raises it too. Tell Dr. Malotky about any raised scars in you or your family; he chooses your incision pattern with you.
